to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes… (Is 61:3).
I love spring, don’t you? It just offers something new that feels so enjoyable and refreshing to me. It makes me look forward to the day. As the weather warms up, so does my heart and my countenance because I get to be outside, enjoying these beautiful days as I drink in the sun and its rays.
We all need a little fresh hope, don’t we? Some of us have experienced some very dark days and we wonder when spring is coming. What is God doing? Will we ever make it past all this we might think to ourselves? Truth be told, dear friend, in God’s economy Spring is coming. He will one day wipe every tear from our eye. He will come back and He will bring the glory and beauty of His light with Him.
So friend, don’t lose heart if life feels heavy. Rejoice and be glad that your King is coming and if you know Him, He’s coming for you. When He comes everyday will be Springtime, because we’ll always be amazed by something new. I can’t wait. In the meantime, let’s bask in His rays each day in this present age, because even in the midst of this dark place, His light is always shining.
Father, thank you that you are always doing a new thing. I want to live in your light today. Thank you for your presence, in Jesus name, Amen.
