Posterity will serve him, future generations will be told about the Lord….(Psalm 22:30)
Friend, be who God created you to be. There is a future generation awaiting the people of God to become who God has fashioned for them to be so they might know and experience Him more deeply.
Don’t live out someone else’s calling. Live out the one God has made for you. This will require a tremendous amount of trust, obedience, waiting and letting go. It will mean you will have to move forward in the face of fear, but friend, with each step we take away from fear we are brought into greater confidence with the Lord. Whenever the enemy stacks up something against, keep going, that’s where God’s grace will meet you in the midst of your calling.

Never snuff out the calling in someone. To do so is sin. Be willing to partner with them in who God has made them to be. This is one of our greatest calling as Christians, as we enable others to share His love with the world. Cheering them on as they use their creativity and giftedness to put His Son on display.
I haven’t always done this well myself. I’ve snuffed out the calling in others because I wanted to be in control of it. Something about their journey made me a little uncomfortable, so instead of partnering with them in it, I tried to get them to walk away from it. Lord, forgive me.
Friend, don’t be afraid. Take that leap of faith. Start that ministry. Go on that missions trip. Do the thing God has placed within you to do. It’s scary, I know, but I’ve lived far too long letting fear be my driver. I have learned the beauty of letting go and when we choose to do that, we can rest in the person of Jesus. Knowing that He has us in the grip of His hands, making us into a tool to be used for His kingdom work, so that the generations coming up after us might know of His love and experience Him more deeply.
Lord, make us all brave. I wont to be so brave for you. Forgive me when I allow fear to be my driver. Instead, may I choose to walk by faith so that the generations might know of your love and choose to be brave too, in Jesus name, Amen.
